Operation and feature set are as straightforward as ever, but the names of detected notes are displayed much larger and the meter display is even clearer. Tuning Meter With Needle Simulation and Large Note and String Name Display

KORG’s meter needle quickly and reliably indicates the detected pitch. Additional help comes from an about four-times-larger display for perfectly legible note and string-name readout. Red and green LEDs also indicate deviation or correct tuning.

Compact, Lightweight Housing

The CA-2 is roughly the size of a credit card — so you can and should carry it with you at all times. The rounded housing feels good in the hand and looks sharp thanks to the accent on the battery compartment. A new mechanism lets you replace the batteries by sliding the entire housing — finally the battery cover won’t suddenly disappear.

Wide Detection Range - Suitable for Virtually All Instruments

The CA-2 covers the pitch range A0~C8 and is therefore suitable for a wide variety of woodwind, string, keyboard and other instruments. If you usually can’t tune your instrument under ideal conditions, consider the CM-200 contact microphone, which transmits your instrument’s vibrations directly to the tuner.

Markers for Pure Major and Minor Thirds

Out-of-tune notes stand out especially badly in triads within orchestral or brass parts. The remedy is a slight pitch adjustment of the major or minor third. Thanks to a special display readout you no longer have to rely solely on your ear for this correction: the CA-2’s meter scale shows the pure major and minor third intervals relative to the selected pitch. Use this feature to contribute to the ensemble’s harmonious sound.

Flexible Reference Pitch Calibration

The calibration function (410~480 Hz) can be set in 1 Hz steps so your instrument sounds correct at any reference pitch or key.

"Sound Out" Function to Output Reference Tones via the Internal Speaker

Musicians who don’t want to rely on the display alone can play reference tones in the C4~C5 range in Sound Out mode.

±200 Hours of Continuous Tuning

Thanks to its highly efficient design, two AAA batteries provide a runtime of 100 hours (zinc-carbon) or 200 hours (alkaline) in continuous operation.
