Novation Bass Station II - Pure Analog!
With the Bass Station II, we’ve upgraded Novation’s classic analog mono synthesizer for the new generation of electronic musicians. It’s now better than the original in every way—bigger, bolder, more versatile.

With two oscillators, a multimode filter, amplifier and filter modulation, tempo sequencing, and an arpeggiator, the Bass Station II gives you everything you need to craft groundbreaking basses, leads, pads, and FX.
And the best part: despite its immense power and flexibility, it’s super easy to program and play thanks to intuitively arranged controls and a full-size 25-key keyboard. With 128 built-in presets (64 factory sounds plus downloadable artist patches), you can save, recall, and tweak your favorite sounds.
Much More Than Bass
Whether on stage or in the studio, the Bass Station II can sound warm and smooth or aggressive and harsh—just the way you want. Adjust the filter to make it sing, tweak the distortion to get the bass growling, or crank the resonance to self-oscillation to highlight lead lines.
With two adjustable oscillators, a sub-oscillator to optimize the crucial low end, plus noise and ring modulation, the Bass Station II really shines when it comes to producing raw tones.
There are also two different analog filter types—one is the classic multimode filter you know from the original Bass Station, and the brand-new 24 dB/octave acid filter with a darker, smoother sound. Two LFOs and two ADSR envelopes provide plenty of modulation options.

Simple Control for a Complex Design
The Bass Station gives you access to a powerful array of controls. Let your creativity run wild and create completely new sounds. Of course, Novation has arranged all these controls as clearly and logically as possible to ensure your creative flow isn’t interrupted and you keep having fun.

Load and Save Patches
The Bass Station II features 64 different built-in presets designed to showcase its incredible sonic flexibility. Check out Novation’s website to download new artist patches and get inspired, or create your own fresh sounds and save them to one of the 64 slots. A free software manager lets you organize your patches for the Bass Station II.
Inspiration at the Push of a Button
If you want to get inspired by melodies, the pattern-based arpeggiator and step sequencer are ready to go. Record your own patterns in real time with the sequencer and save them for later use with any patch.
Sequences and arpeggios automatically sync with your connected music software or MIDI hardware—and if you really want to feel the groove, there’s a swing function.

Almost Unlimited Compatibility
Since the Bass Station II is a class-compliant USB device, you can connect it to any Mac, PC, or USB power supply and start playing right away.
The unit also offers MIDI IN/OUT ports on 5-pin DIN connectors for linking other MIDI gear. You can even connect an external instrument and run it through the Bass Station II’s analog filters and effects.
Paraphonic Mode
The Bass Station II is now a paraphonic mono synth, letting you control the pitch of both oscillators separately within the single-channel architecture. Play two notes simultaneously instead of just one and explore the interplay with ring and filter mods.
