Grandmother is a sonic playground that recalls Moog’s modular roots, where synthesis is not just about the end result but the journey of discovery and experimentation. While capable of highly complex sounds and modulations, its semi-modular design requires absolutely no patching, ensuring that users of all experience levels can easily explore and enjoy the joys and magic of analog synthesis.

Inspired by classic modular Moog synthesizers, Grandmother’s sound engine, modulation engine, and built-in spring reverb are fully analog, delivering an unrestricted sonic vocabulary of immense beauty and power. Additionally, Grandmother features an easy-to-use arpeggiator and sequencer for extra playfulness and programmable syncopations.

Though not required, creative patching and exploration are key to discovering exciting new relationships between modules and truly unlocking the infinite expanse of Grandmother’s auditory inspiration. Patching can also override internal connections, allowing each section to function as an independent module.

Besides standalone use, Grandmother is also an ideal analog audio processor for external sound sources and a powerful keyboard front end to expand a Mother-32, DFAM, or Eurorack modular system.
