The Martin DE Retro Plus Granadillo combines the power and projection of a dreadnought with influences drawn from our historic 28-style models. It's a powerful, dynamic guitar for players who want a stage-ready instrument deeply rooted in Martin tradition.
Its torrefied solid spruce top is the heart of the instrument, delivering the resonance and openness you'd expect from a guitar that's been played for decades. The thermal aging process gives it a vintage character straight out of the box, while the scalloped X-bracing enhances power and response. Paired with a solid granadillo back and sides, the DE Retro Plus Granadillo produces thundering lows, clear highs and long sustain with tonal qualities that rival rosewood while still offering its own distinctive brightness and balance.
