Inspired by the legendary 28-style dreadnoughts, the DE Retro Plus Granadillo pairs a torrefied spruce top with solid granadillo for powerful projection, rich lows and vintage character — your route to great tone and uncompromising performance from day one.
The Martin DE Retro Plus Granadillo combines the power and projection of a dreadnought with inspirations from our historic 28-style models. It's a powerful, dynamic guitar for players seeking a stage-ready instrument deeply rooted in Martin tradition.
Its torrefied solid spruce top is the heart of the instrument and delivers the resonance and openness you'd expect from a guitar that's been played for decades. The thermal aging process gives it an immediate vintage character right out of the box, while the arched X-bracing improves power and response. In combination with the solid granadillo back and sides, the DE Retro Plus Granadillo produces thunderous lows, clear highs and long sustain with tonal qualities that rival rosewood while still offering its own unique brightness and balance.

To ensure long-term enjoyment of this instrument, it has been inspected and pre-set by Kirstein quality control. This is carried out in our guitar workshop by our guitar technicians. We guarantee the flawless condition on a certificate that is included with the instrument.
