The Epiphone Hummingbird Studio EC is part of the brand-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars were completely redesigned to deliver the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by the legendary Gibson designs. The Hummingbird Studio EC blends classic styling with modern functionality and is built to appeal equally to beginners and experienced players.

Based on the iconic Gibson Hummingbird acoustic, prized by players across many genres, the Hummingbird Studio EC features a round-shoulder dreadnought body with a cutaway for easier access to the upper frets. The Hummingbird Studio EC produces a full, balanced tone with excellent projection, making it a great choice no matter what style you want to explore. It sports a multi-ply mahogany body with six-layer Antique Ivory and Black binding on the top, four-layer Antique Ivory and Black binding on the back, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced voice with outstanding dynamic range that only improves with age.

The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued, tapered dovetail joint and features a rounded C profile for comfortable playability. The neck is fitted with a bound rosewood fingerboard with 20 standard frets and decorated with the classic split parallelogram inlays that are a hallmark of the Hummingbird design. The strings pass over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored with ivory-colored bridge pins on a belly-up rosewood bridge.

Epiphone has added other vintage-style details to strengthen the Hummingbird Studio EC's classic look, including a hummingbird tortoiseshell pickguard with the iconic Hummingbird graphics, premium Grover Rotomatic tuners for precise, stable tuning, and a 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo and a Gibson crown proudly inlaid in mother-of-pearl.

The Hummingbird Studio EC is equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys II preamp with side-mounted controls for volume, bass, treble and phase. It also features a convenient built-in electronic tuner for quick, easy tuning. The Epiphone Hummingbird Studio EC sports a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-inspired colors: Antique Natural and Heritage Cherry Sunburst. A standard gigbag is included.
