The MP11SE is equipped with the Grand Feel action with wooden keys which — thanks to Kawai's now 90 years' experience in piano making — delivers an exceptionally realistic touch. All eighty-eight black and white keys are crafted from long wooden sections and finished with an ivory-like IvoryTouch surface that absorbs moisture and gives the player a grippy feel for greater confidence and excellent control. Each key moves smoothly on a balance rail — the same mechanism used in a grand piano. The key length of the new Grand Feel keyboard (from the front edge of the key to the balance rail pin) is longer than any other digital piano keyboard. When a key is struck, just like on the original, a weighted hammer is moved upward, while additional weights in the bass notes at the front of the keys make pianissimo playing easier. The Grand Feel keyboard also features three sensors per key and an escapement simulation that provide perfect control for very soft playing.

The MP11SE reproduces the superb tones of the Kawai concert grands SK-EX, SK-5 and EX. All 88 keys of these three exceptional grand models were meticulously recorded and analyzed. The unique character of each individual note and the wide dynamic range let the pianist express emotional playing... from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. With the integrated Virtual Technician function you can easily alter the tonal character of these acoustic piano sounds. For example, you can adjust the intensity of string and damper resonance or the sound of the returning hammers. Such personal settings can then be enriched with a reverb effect that adds additional spatial depth to the sound.

The MP11SE offers a selection of brand-new vintage electric piano sounds, each with its own character. Experience their natural, organic tones or refine them with popular effects before sending the sound to one of the five classic amps the MP11SE simulates.

Sub Section: High-Quality Strings, Pads, Basses And More

The SUB section of the MP11SE provides high-quality strings, pads, basses and other useful sounds that are ideal for splits and zones, as layers for pianos or E.Pianos, or for solo use. Additionally, you can equip these sounds with Bell, Air and Voice layers and edit them via flexible ADSR parameters and resonance/cut-off controls.

MIDI Out Section: Four-Zone Master Keyboard Controller

Of course the MP11SE includes master keyboard functions. Use the MIDI section to control external MIDI devices or use the MP11SE as the studio master. Use the freely assignable knobs to send MIDI controllers or the recorder transport buttons as an MMC remote for your DAW. Simple operation makes studio life easier. The MP11SE also offers a switchable LINE-IN for connecting another keyboard, expander, audio player or computer line-out, so an extra mixer becomes unnecessary.

Intuitive Operation, Large LCD, Real-Time Controllers

The control panel of the MP11SE is clearly structured and easy to navigate. All functions are grouped and located where you'd expect them. A large LCD display and four assignable knobs allow you to change many parameters in real time without having to dive into menus — so you can focus on playing instead of wrestling with complicated controls.

All MP11SE settings — sounds with all adjustments, knob positions, etc. — can be saved as a setup and recalled at any time. 26 banks of 8 setups simplify organization and are partially preloaded with the most common application examples.

USB-To-Device Functionality With MP3/WAV/SMF Recording And Playback

The MP11SE USB ports not only allow connection to a computer but also enable direct loading and saving of data to a USB storage device. This lets you permanently back up your sounds or setups and provides security for many live situations. USB storage can also be used to play MP3, WAV or SMF files directly. The A-B loop function makes practising specific parts of a song very easy. The USB storage can also be used for direct recording in MP3 or WAV format, with the LINE-IN also recorded. This way you can quickly send audio files by email to bandmates, listen on your MP3 player or copy them to a computer for further editing and, for example, burn an audio CD.

GFP-3 Pedal: Optical Sensors For Precise Operation

The MP11SE is supplied with the GFP-3 triple pedal. This pedal impresses with precise operation thanks to optical sensors for all three pedals. Stepless function and additional controller assignments are possible.

Classic Cantabile Folding Table

This sturdy and adjustable stand can be used both as a keyboard and as a mixer stand. The support surface extends in width from 73 to 110 cm. The solid legs can be adjusted individually in height.

Keyboard Bag With Wheels

The new Classic Cantabile keyboard bags are made from especially durable, double-spun woven fabric. This special manufacturing technique guarantees outstanding tear- and water-resistance. Generous foam padding ensures the best protection for your instrument.

The bag can be carried by the handle with hook-and-loop fastening or used as a trolley with the practical wheels. Two large outer pockets with dividers also offer plenty of space for sheet music and accessories.
