Pure Expression
The ES60 delivers the full, expressive sound of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano, reproduced with Harmonic Imaging sound technology. This ensures smooth transitions in tonal character from pianissimo to fortissimo, allowing budding pianists to learn and master expressive dynamic control.
In addition to acoustic piano sounds, the ES60 also offers a selection of electric pianos, organs, strings, and other instruments that inspire players to perform or accompany a wide range of musical styles at home or on stage.
Acoustic Feel, Compact Size
This brand-new model features Kawai's signature keyboard action and sound technologies that replicate the feel and tone of an acoustic grand piano in an ultra-portable instrument.
The newly developed Responsive Hammer Lite (RHL) keyboard action offers fully graded keys that support the development of hand strength and technique. It also includes the authentic hammer-sensing and key damping technologies from the latest CN201 and CN301 models, ensuring excellent playability and control as well as low mechanical noise to avoid disturbing others.
Powerful Sound
Its 20 W stereo speaker system, equipped with the same speakers as the acclaimed ES120, delivers impressive volume with rich and clear sound, providing a fantastic listening experience.
Light, Mobile, Versatile
Weighing only 11 kg, the ultraportable ES60 is easy to carry around the house or from the classroom to the concert hall. The instrument features 1/4" stereo line-out jacks for recording or additional amplification, as well as a full-size headphone jack conveniently located on the front of the instrument.
Learning Made Easy
A USB-MIDI port enables connection to computers and smart devices and supports a range of learning apps such as Skoove, Tomplay, and Kawai's PiaBookPlayer. The ES60 is operated via two buttons on the control panel with handy function instructions behind the keyboard and can also be controlled via the PianoRemote app for iOS and Android devices.
Keyboard Stand
The very sturdy double-braced keyboard stand provides secure support for all common stage pianos, master keyboards, portable keyboards, and synthesizers up to a maximum of 30 kg. The practical quick-release allows easy adjustment to 5 different heights. The robust rubber sleeves offer absolutely non-slip and scratch-resistant support, and the practical balancing parquet protectors (4 on the feet and 2 on the top) provide extra stability even on uneven surfaces.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KH-238 delivers full, balanced sound with rich bass reproduction and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume yet clean and precise stereo imaging. Naturally, the softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable. The extension offers 12 steps on each side for optimal fit. For even more wearing comfort, the ear cups are mounted on two axes for rotation. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural ear cups also provides good external noise isolation. The integrated volume control in the cable is always at hand, simplifying use with a PC or mp3 player. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug delivers excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter (nickel-plated) is also included.
Piano Method
In a playful, relaxed way, beginners are introduced to and taught the instrument. Starting with familiar, simple melodies up to playing complete songs with both hands, various theory knowledge is conveyed alongside. Reading music, rhythm, dynamics, and much more are covered alongside the exercises. Additionally, the simple exercises guarantee quick learning success.
