Precise RB880 Tonearm
The RB880 tonearm is engineered for maximum stability, high stiffness and low resonance. Its vertical bearing housing in aluminium, stainless-steel bearing spindle and special stainless-steel counterweight support smooth, controlled tracking of the cartridge. The near-frictionless, hand-selected precision bearings help extract the finest information from the record groove. Low-capacitance Rega phono cables sensibly complete the signal path.
Nd9 Reference Moving Magnet
The factory-fitted Nd9 Reference MM cartridge is designed for high detail resolution and precise channel balance. Its naked fine-line diamond on a boron cantilever tracks even the smallest groove movements accurately. The result is a lively, detailed sound with clear imaging, tight timing and refined dynamics.
Stiff, Ultra-Light Chassis
The Tancast 8 foam-core chassis with high-strength HP laminate and aluminium metal skin forms a lightweight yet rigid platform. Double Brace Technology selectively stiffens the area between the tonearm base and main bearing. This reduces energy loss, resonances and unwanted coloration, leaving the music direct, stable and natural.
Stable Drive With Neo MK2 Power Supply
The hand-tuned 24 V AC synchronous motor works with a CNC-machined double pulley and two Rega Reference EBLT drive belts. The external Neo MK2 power supply offers fine-adjustable speed control, improved anti-vibration motor electronics and electronic switching between 33/45 rpm. The two-layer float glass platter made of Opti White glass additionally ensures smooth rotation and high speed stability.
