The POD Express is an ultra-portable amp and effects processor that lets you take your sound anywhere. Its simple operation and models derived from the HX family deliver outstanding tone quality and authentic playing feel.

The POD Express offers musicians seven amps, seven cabinets, and 17 distortion, modulation, reverb, and delay effects—including a looper—and can be powered by three AA batteries (included) or an optional 9-volt power supply.

LED Ring

Seven multicolor LED segments light up to indicate various parameter functions. A red LED shows the selected amp model when turning the AMP encoder. Holding the ALT button while turning the AMP encoder or an effect knob displays the corresponding value on the LED segments. When turning an effect knob, the LED segments (1-7) indicate the level of the currently selected effect.

Tuner

Hold down the TAP footswitch to activate the tuner. Play a string and tune it until all LEDs around the AMP knob glow green. Press any switch to exit.

Tempo Settings

Tap the TAP switch multiple times to set the tempo for syncing time-based parameters like modulation rate and delay time.

Amp Models

Explore the amp models: turn the AMP knob to select an amp model or set it to the six o’clock position to use no amp. LED segments 1 - 7 indicate the current model (no LEDs light up if no amp is selected). Hold the ALT button to adjust the gain, mid, bass, and treble controls of the amp models, marked by silver indicators.

Explore the Presets

Hold the ON and TAP footswitches simultaneously for one second to enter preset selection mode. The preset selection is shown by the LED segment position around the AMP knob. Turn the AMP knob clockwise or press TAP to select or queue the next preset. There are 21 preset slots in total, with the first seven occupied by factory presets (indicated by white LEDs).
