HX One - The Swiss Army Knife of Effects Units!
HX One is a powerful stereo effects pedal housed in an ultra-compact chassis that easily fits on any pedalboard. It features intuitive controls, more than 250 effects from the HX family processors, a unique Flux Controller, a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal or two footswitches, adjustable input impedance, MIDI capabilities, and the choice between true or buffered DSP bypass.
Behavioral Modeling
HX Modeling technology captures the unique behavior of analog effects by measuring their individual components. The result is authentic recreations of even notoriously hard-to-model effects like germanium fuzz and analog bucket-brigade delay pedals.
Ultra-Compact
Thanks to its ultra-compact housing, the HX One easily integrates into your setup—and fits on almost any pedalboard.
Interaction
Selecting and activating effects is straightforward. To tweak effect settings, simply adjust the parameters shown on the OLED screen using the three corresponding knobs.
Flux Controller
With Flux, you can adjust multiple effect parameters simultaneously over a set period—all with a single footswitch press.
Adjustable Input Impedance
A pedal’s input impedance determines how much your instrument’s pickup signal is "loaded," affecting both tone and feel. Adjustable input impedance lets you compensate for pickups with varying signal strengths.
External Control
Connect an optional expression pedal (automatically assigned to relevant effect parameters), two assignable external footswitches, or one of each.
MIDI Capable
Via the MIDI In and Out/Thru ports, the HX One can receive program changes, continuous controller messages, and other MIDI commands from external sources.
Bypass Options
Choose between true or buffered DSP bypass. True bypass avoids A/D/A conversion by routing analog signals directly from inputs to outputs.
USB
Connect the USB-C port to your computer for firmware updates and to back up or restore the 128 built-in presets using the free HX One Librarian app.
The NUX NMP-2 Footswitch
The dual footswitch is far from a classic 2-way switch. It offers modern smart functions and 3 operating modes that go beyond traditional footswitch features. In Open Mode, the footswitch sends a toggle command only when pressed briefly—the LED indicators light up if the switch is powered. Closed Mode offers the same toggle function but passively (without power, so no status LEDs).
Jack Cable
The two-conductor shielded cable prevents interference and hum noise in balanced connections, e.g., between mixer and power amp. It features high-quality 6.3 mm stereo jack plugs with gold-plated tips, ensuring clean signal transmission and optimal corrosion protection.
