Launchkey 49 is a powerful DAW controller with a synthesizer-style keyboard, eight endless encoders and 16 velocity-sensitive pads for playing drums, instruments and launching clips. It also offers creative chord and scale modes that work with the OLED display to keep you effortlessly in the key you want.
Launchkey 49
Get inspired by Launchkey 49 — a compact all-in-one DAW controller with a three-octave synthesizer keyboard with full-size keys and 16 patented FSR pads for finger drumming, clip launches and more. The next generation of Launchkey also gives you new ways to get creative in your DAW, with hardware synthesizers or on iPhone and iPad. The chord, scale and arpeggio modes have been expanded so you can stay in key and play with even greater expression — all with detailed feedback via the new, razor-sharp OLED display.
Improved DAW Integration
Launchkey supports all relevant DAWs, offering seamless, custom integration for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studio and Ardour. That gives you hardware-driven workflows that put full control of transport functions, timeline navigation, mixing, EQ, clip launching as well as instrument and effect parameters at your fingertips. And when you use Ableton Live's Session View or Live Loops in Logic, the 16 drum pads take over clip launching in Launchpad-style with RGB backlighting that perfectly matches what you see on your screen.
Creative Tools
Launchkey 49's creative tools are built into the hardware itself — so they behave the same way in your DAW, with your hardware synth or on your mobile devices. Scale mode now lets you lock your keyboard to one of 30 different scales to eliminate wrong notes or map everything to the white keys. Fixed Chord mode triggers full chords from a single key. New chord mappings enable next-step moves so emotional progressions can be created across Launchkey's pads. And the latest version of our popular arpeggiators makes it easier than ever to vary your sequences and find endless inspiration.
Extremely Responsive FSR Pads
The 49-key synthesizer keyboard is expressive to play, musical and great fun. For finger drumming, Launchkey now features our patented, velocity-sensitive FSR drum pads with polyphonic aftertouch. Unlike standard pads, each pad uses a unique radial sensor that increases sensitivity and optimizes consistency for a tighter performance. They can also be set to trigger chords or single notes with polyphonic aftertouch.
Custom Modes
The encoders on Launchkey aren't limited to their default assignments. Just load the free Components software in your browser and configure them to behave exactly how you want with your soft- or hardware. You can save up to four custom mappings for Launchkey's pads and encoders and recall them directly from the hardware to send the notes, MIDI CCs or program change commands you need.
Beyond the Computer
The five-pin MIDI output on the Launchkey 49 makes it easy to hook up your hardware synth — no DAW required. Combined with Components and custom mappings you can access key functions directly from the keyboard. Launchkey is USB powered and class-compliant, so it works fully with countless music apps for iPhone and iPad — including Novation's free Launchpad app.
Everything You Need to Get Creative
Launchkey 49 ships with everything you need to start making music right away. The included Ableton Live 12 Lite lets you record and perform with up to eight MIDI or audio tracks plus a range of instruments, effects and creative tools — all perfectly paired with Launchkey. You also receive a selection of additional studio-quality effects and sounds from Novation and Focusrite.

Klevgrand LUXE is an easy-to-use effect plugin that lets you enhance your tracks so they sit seamlessly in a mix — from the drum bus to the vocal track and everything between. Klevgrand R0Verb is a unique audio effect that combines a straightforward reverb with the complexity of a multi-delay system. Up to 50 individual delay lines are available, each precisely adjustable in level, pre-delay, feedback and high-frequency filtering. Slammer is a multisample drum plugin offering 30 different instruments curated from a large number of carefully recorded and edited samples. They are highly customizable with controls for pitch, filtering, effect sends, decay time, velocity mapping and more.
