Compact Creative Controller With Limitless Possibilities!
Arturia presents the KeyStep mk2 - the successor to the hugely popular KeyStep. This compact, expressive controller and sequencer combines playful performance, extensive sequencing features and versatile hardware and software connectivity in a portable instrument. It sparks new ideas, drives synth setups, controls modular systems and integrates seamlessly with any DAW - a versatile tool for creative music production.
The KeyStep mk2 builds on the success of its predecessor and adds a host of new features: an OLED display with push encoder for easy navigation, an expanded polyphonic step sequencer with pattern chaining, a 16-mode arpeggiator, the new Mutate function for creative variations and two capacitive touch strips for pitch and modulation. Four CV/Gate outputs, including the new Mod 2 output, expand possibilities for modular setups. USB-C, MIDI DIN, pedal input and the compact, low-profile design complete the upgrade for stage and studio.
Idea Engine
The KeyStep mk2 is as much an idea engine as it is a controller. Its polyphonic step sequencer, 16-mode arpeggiator, pattern chaining and creative tools like 'Mutate All' work together seamlessly. You can create a riff with the arpeggiator, turn it into a sequence and then transform it. With 'Mutate' you can instantly hear new variations, shift octaves, adjust note lengths, insert rests, overdub extra notes or record bend and wheel automations - ideas evolve immediately.

Playability
The KeyStep mk2 features a 32-note Slimkey keyboard with velocity and aftertouch, offering expressive control in a very compact footprint. Pitch and modulation strips provide intuitive real-time shaping, while built-in chord and scale modes make exploring new musical phrases effortless.
Compact Design
Ultra-slim, travel-ready and space-saving - the KeyStep mk2 delivers studio-grade features without bulk. Its low profile allows direct contact with controlled instruments, while the intuitive layout simplifies playability and seamless integration on stage, in the studio or within a hardware setup.
Hardware Connectivity
Connections for virtually any setup: besides USB-C MIDI, MIDI DIN, Sync I/O and pedal input, the KeyStep mk2 offers four CV outputs - Pitch, Gate, Mod 1 and the new Mod 2, now freely assignable to velocity, aftertouch, mod wheel and more - for precise control of modular hardware.
