Der WS-6.2 ist ein aktiver Studio-Subwoofer mit 2 x 6,5-Zoll-Langhub-Tieftönern. Er wurde so konzipiert, dass er sowohl leistungsstark als auch klein ist und weniger als die Hälfte des Platzes eines vergleichbaren Subwoofers benötigt. Trotz seines kleinen Formfaktors erreicht er einen maximalen Schalldruck von 120 dB und einen unteren Frequenzgang von 27 Hz.
Die Tieftöner sind horizontal gegenüberliegend angeordnet um unerwünschte Vibrationen zu vermeiden. Ein eingebauter 80-Hz-Hochpass-Ausgang macht ihn ideal für die Kombination mit den meisten gängigen Studiomonitoren, einschließlich der LP- und IN-Serie von Kali Audio.
Zusätzlich zur 80-Hz-Frequenzweiche kann der Subwoofer auf den LFE-Modus eingestellt oder mit einer externen Frequenzweiche verwendet werden. Die Polarität kann bei Bedarf auch umgedreht werden.
Wie alle Kali-Lautsprecher verfügt auch der WS-6.2 über eine einzigartige Port-Röhre, die das "Chuffing" und die Port-Kompression praktisch eliminiert und so einen klaren, kraftvollen Bass mit minimaler Verzerrung ermöglicht.
