The RØDECaster Video is a groundbreaking video and audio production console that does far more than a conventional video mixer. The RØDECaster Video allows direct recording (H.264) to an external USB drive, ISO recording of 6 video sources plus program feed, as well as direct RTMP streaming to popular platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Twitch, YouTube, etc.) via Ethernet or wirelessly over Wi-Fi.
Wide Range of Connections
The RØDECaster Video features 4 HDMI inputs, 2 freely configurable HDMI outputs, and an Ethernet port. Additionally, it has 5 USB-C ports: 2 USB-C inputs for video (UVC) or RØDE USB audio devices, 2 USB-C ports to the computer (dual audio/video interface), plus a separate USB output for an external drive (hard drive, USB stick). Media files (MP4, JPG, PNG, WAV) can be played from a microSD card.
Two 6.35 mm TRS jacks for connecting 2 stereo headphones and 2 balanced 6.35 mm TRS jacks (L/R) for studio monitor speakers complete the rear panel.
Intuitive Control Panel
The clear control panel of the RØDECaster Video combines intuitive control with flexible functions. Large, dedicated buttons allow switching video sources and scenes, starting and stopping recordings, activating automatic transitions, and accessing functions like chroma key control, multi-source layouts, graphics, and media. A 2" touchscreen and a rotary encoder enable convenient configuration.
The 7 scene buttons allow planning and designing a production. Each button can contain custom layouts including video sources, images, videos, and chroma key inputs. The "Inspect" button lets you check which scene is assigned to a button at any time and adjust it if needed. The smart auto-switching enables automated camera and scene changes based on the audio signal – ideal for solo producers.
Professional Audio Section
The audio section of the RØDECaster Video is hard to overestimate: 2 Neutrik combo jacks (XLR/6.35 mm) for connecting microphones, instruments, or line sources plus 2 built-in wireless receivers for current RØDE Wireless transmitters. An audiophile preamp in the signal path ensures ultra-low noise and extremely powerful gain of up to 76 dB.
The audio signal can then be extensively processed and refined with the integrated audio signal processor: compressor, equalizer, de-esser, stereo panorama, noise gate, high-pass filter, aural exciter, big bottom, and compellor are adjustable separately and usable simultaneously for each audio input.
The package includes 2 Wi-Fi antennas, the power supply, and a SuperSpeed USB-C cable.
