The new Zoom H5 impresses — like its "big brother H6" — with an interchangeable stereo capsule system. It handles sound pressure up to 140 dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level) and captures audio events with absolute clarity. The flexible Zoom H5 provides everything you need for high-quality multitrack recordings, audio-to-video, podcasts and other creative applications. The H5 offers four simultaneous tracks.
Flexible XY Stereo Microphone Unit
Thanks to the XY module, the H5 is excellent for stereo live recordings where you need to cover a wide capture area while still defining a clear sound. The two matched condenser directional microphones are arranged at a 90° angle, and a vibration damper minimizes vibrations during recording. The XY microphone module is included.

The H5's technology delivers clean recordings at levels up to an astonishing 140 dB SPL! (For reference: a jet engine at 30 m distance produces about 150 dB; a gunshot at 1 m produces 140 dB). You can tailor professional audio capture to any conceivable recording situation by swapping the microphone attachments.

The Zoom H5 is compatible with all available Zoom mic capsules, such as the 'Shotgun Capsule', the 'Mid Side Capsule' or the 'Dual XLR/TRS Combo Capsule'.
