Seeburg Acoustic Line L16j Line Array!

Ultra-slim and discreet line arrays for demanding speech and music applications in acoustically challenging spaces like churches, foyers, and lecture halls. By using waveguides, the horizontal dispersion and coupling characteristics of the 3" wideband drivers have been significantly improved. The L series includes six variants differing in length and curvature. By coupling multiple units, the system can be expanded as needed and adapted to the required sound reinforcement task.

Conventional Sound Line

The acoustic coupling of individually arranged sources in the L series line arrays results in strong vertical beamforming, increasing range and providing more even sound distribution across the listening area.

In the near field, the dispersion is optimized by a special curvature of the array (j- or c-versions). Additional benefits include greatly reduced feedback tendency, as only a small portion of the sound energy emitted by the speaker is picked up by the microphone.

As the array length increases, these properties intensify and remain effective even at greater distances from the speaker line. Due to the improved ratio of direct sound to reflected sound, speech intelligibility is also significantly enhanced.

Dispersion: L 16i and L 16j

The L 16j system is suitable for acoustic coverage in the range of 2 m - 25 m distance. Extending the range is possible by additionally mounting an L 16i system.

All six variants of the L series line arrays can be freely combined. Special mounting accessories have been developed. The acoustic outcome can be simulated using the EASE FOCUS software, which is available for free download. For more complex planning, data sets for simulation programs like EASE, Ulysses, and CATT-acoustic can be used.
