Active 2-Way Column System with Rich Power!

The completely redesigned NXL 24-A MK2 line-array column speaker delivers outstanding audio quality for bands, DJs, clubs, and rental companies. The industry-leading combination of RCF premium transducers and a 2-channel 2100-watt amplifier ensures a consistent 100° x 30° coverage angle and a maximum sound pressure level of 132 dB SPL. The 2-way design includes four 6-inch neodymium woofers and a 3-inch tweeter with an asymmetric waveguide. The special horn design provides precise coverage without tilting the speaker.

The system offers an extended bass range down to 60 Hz and can be used as a standalone speaker, flown, or—for wider coverage—in combination with another NXL 24-A MK2 (headstack). Paired with a subwoofer, the speaker delivers full-range sound for medium-sized concerts and DJ setups. The NXL 24-A MK2 features precisely tuned FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control DSP algorithms that guarantee absolute transparency and powerful, extensive bass reproduction. The robust, tour-ready enclosure made of high-quality Baltic birch plywood is easy to transport and can be securely installed thanks to integrated mounting points.

Power That Moves

The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF transducers and amplifiers are continuously optimized. With 2100 watts, the 2-channel Class-D amplifier of the NXL MK2 series delivers 50 percent more power than previous models. NXL offers extremely high sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack, precise transient response, and minimal power loss. The NXL speakers are so energy-efficient they don’t require a cooling fan. Instead, the amplifier features a fixed heat exchanger without moving parts at the rear of the enclosure. The signal input path is optimized for low distortion and includes a modern limiter for added safety, preserving the tonal characteristics of the input signal at all levels. All NXL amplifiers comply with maximum safety standards (EN62368-1) and are powered by an ultra-lightweight switching power supply.

Outstanding Performance and Precise Coverage

The vertically asymmetric horn design projects sound energy precisely and avoids unwanted reflections when mounted on a subwoofer or speaker stand without tilting the speaker. This design also allows combining two NXL speakers as a headstack for optimal coverage. Additionally, it improves sound transparency and speech intelligibility in acoustically challenging environments. The extended bass range of the speaker can be further enhanced for medium-sized concerts and DJ sets by pairing it with a subwoofer.

First-Class Transducers

The lightweight RCF drivers deliver impressive performance. To ensure maximum reliability and optimal component synergy, all transducers were specially developed by RCF engineers in Italy. The 3-inch neodymium compression driver offers greater transparency and improved power handling at reduced weight. The industry-leading titanium dome and polyimide Kapton voice coil are extremely stable and low-distortion. With a new advanced transducer design, the three 10-inch high-performance woofers provide greater stability, low distortion, fast transient response, and better heat dissipation even at high current levels.

Bass Motion Control

To achieve extended bass response and more power, our development team replaced the standard high-pass filter with a groundbreaking technology. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), our innovative feature for controlling woofer excursion. The speaker with BMC handles even the lowest audible frequencies without compromising woofer stability—for a linear, extended bass range and balanced sound.

BMC is an algorithm that thoroughly analyzes the woofer’s dynamic behavior and restricts only excessive excursion based on this specific data. This allows complete freedom in signal reproduction by the transducer. Conventional high-pass filters aim to prevent woofer damage but also affect phase behavior. Thanks to the new BMC algorithm, this problem is now history.

A New Perspective on Linearity

RCF speakers are developed based on proprietary advanced FIR filter technology, ensuring a transparent sound image, absolute clarity, and perfect stereo imaging. The special FiRPHASE filters enable even sound distribution for all listeners without phase distortion and with minimal latency across the entire system.

The sleek column design and flexible rigging options make the series the first choice for a wide range of applications. The robust enclosure made of high-quality Baltic birch plywood is easy to transport and equipped with ergonomic handles on both sides. The speakers can be used individually, on a speaker pole, or combined with a subwoofer. Vertical coupling for improved vertical coverage is also possible, as well as flying or truss mounting via integrated mounting points and appropriate accessories. From the enclosure and structural finish to the rugged front grille, the NXL series provides maximum durability for both fixed installations and intensive touring use.
