The AZX series from Omnitronic stands for great sound at a fair price and is aimed at anyone looking for robust, reliable speakers with balanced performance. Thanks to their well thought-out, multifunctional design, the cabinets are extremely versatile: whether as a powerful party PA, in youth centers, for your band's live shows or for mobile DJ use. All subwoofers feature a sturdy M20 metal flange so top cabinets can be mounted securely. With a wide selection of active and passive models, the series suits live and DJ applications as well as fixed installations in small clubs or youth centers. The entire range uses sturdy 15 mm MDF enclosures with a durable textured finish. Acoustic foam behind the metal grilles protects the components reliably and creates a cohesive overall look — with no acoustic drawbacks.
Omnitronic AZX-118A PA Subwoofer
The Omnitronic AZX-118A is an active bass-reflex subwoofer that uses a high-quality 18" woofer with a 2.5" voice coil to deliver precise, deep bass reproduction. The integrated Class D amplifier provides 400 watts RMS and ensures efficient, reliable performance during continuous operation. With two XLR inputs and XLR outputs, the subwoofer integrates easily into existing PA systems. Additionally, the AZX-118A offers two high-pass outputs with an adjustable crossover frequency from 80 to 200 Hz, allowing you to optimize the connected top cabinets and fine-tune your overall system.
Technical Application & Flexibility
The rugged 15 mm MDF enclosure with a textured black finish protects the electronics reliably and gives a durable, professional look. Two side handles provide comfortable transport, ideal for mobile gigs. The AZX-118A also features a switchable phase inversion (0°/180°), so you can match the subwoofer to the acoustic conditions. An integrated limiter protects the amplifier from overload and ensures consistent, clean performance even at high levels.
