RCF Active Speaker with Bass Motion Control & FIR Filter Technology!

The RCF NX 912-A delivers innovative technologies and otherworldly sound for solo musicians, bands, and DJs. The combination of a 1.75" compression driver, a 12" woofer, a 2-channel 2100 W amplifier, and a constant directivity waveguide ensures consistent 100° x 60° coverage of the listening area with up to 130 dB SPL distortion-free sound.

Whether as a stand-alone FOH system, satellite (with subwoofer), stage monitor, or flown: the compact NX 912-A is powerful and reliable. All models in the NX 9 series feature precisely tuned FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control algorithms for absolute transparency and extensive, powerful bass reproduction.

The lightweight, tour-ready wooden enclosure is durable and can be securely mounted on a stand, flown, wall-mounted, or attached to a truss via various mounting points.

Power That Moves - The Most Powerful Amplifier in Its Class

RCF transducers are continuously optimized—and so are the amplifiers. With 2100 W output, the 2-channel Class-D amplifier in the NX 9 series is 50 percent more powerful than its predecessors, achieving impressive sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack and natural transient response while minimizing heat loss.

The NX 9 speakers are so energy-efficient they don’t require a cooling fan. Instead, the amplifier is mounted at the rear of the enclosure on a fixed heat exchanger with no moving parts. The signal input path is optimized for low distortion and includes an advanced limiter for added protection, preserving the tonal characteristics of the input signal at all levels.

All NX 9 amplifiers comply with maximum safety standards (EN62368-1) and are powered by a highly efficient, ultra-lightweight switching power supply.

Top-Quality Transducers

The lightweight RCF drivers deliver impressive performance. To ensure maximum reliability and optimal synergy of all components, all transducers are specially developed by RCF engineers in Italy. Thanks to the innovative design, the 1.75-inch voice coil with polyimide Kapton diaphragm is ten times more stable than previous models, ensuring more accurate reproduction and improved durability.

The redesigned phase plug provides a more transparent sound with less distortion. The special woofer design ensures the system runs more stably under high load, distorts less, and overheats more slowly.

Bass Motion Control

To achieve extended bass response and more power, RCF’s development team replaced the standard high-pass filter with a groundbreaking technology: BMC (Bass Motion Control), an innovative feature that controls woofer excursion. The BMC-equipped speaker handles even the lowest audible frequencies without compromising woofer stability—for a linear, extended bass range and balanced sound.

BMC is an algorithm that comprehensively analyzes the woofer’s dynamic behavior and restricts only excessive excursion based on this specific data. This allows complete freedom in signal reproduction by the transducer. Conventional high-pass filters aim to protect the woofer from damage but also affect phase behavior. Thanks to the new BMC algorithm, this problem is now history.

Robust and Tour-Ready

The NX 9 speakers shine as FOH systems or floor monitors. Their great versatility makes them the perfect choice for a wide range of live sound applications. Thanks to the side handles, the durable wooden enclosure is easy to transport. A steel threaded flange on the bottom allows mounting on a stand or pole.

All models can alternatively be flown, wall-mounted, or attached to a truss using the six integrated M10 mounting points. With their wooden enclosure, textured finish, and rugged front grille, the NX 9 series speakers are suitable for both permanent installations and intensive touring use.
