The Mackie Thrash15v2 is a powerful active 15" PA speaker for bands, musicians, DJs, schools, rehearsal rooms and events. A 15" ferrite LF driver and a 1" polymer compression driver are powered by a Class-D amplifier system delivering a total of 1,300 Watt peak. Four voicing modes, Bluetooth 5.0 with link function and an integrated Feedback Eliminator provide flexible tuning for music, vocals, speech, DJ use and monitoring. With a maximum SPL of 129 dB, 90° x 60° coverage and a frequency response down to 40 Hz, the Thrash15v2 delivers strong fullrange performance for a wide range of PA setups.

Four Sound Modes for Live, DJ and Monitoring

The four voicing modes Flat, DJ, Live and Wedge let you tailor the sound directly at the speaker. Flat provides a neutral baseline and is ideal when using external processing. DJ boosts the bass for music and playback. Live is tuned for vocals, speech and classic live applications. Wedge is optimized for side-fill monitor use and complements the cabinet's 45° monitor angle.

1,300 Watt Peak With Separate LF and HF Power

The amplifier system delivers a total of 1,300 Watt peak. The 15" woofer can receive up to 1,000 Watt peak, while the high-frequency section has 300 Watt peak available. Both amplifier sections use efficient Class-D technology and are cooled by convection. Total harmonic distortion is <1% in both LF and HF ranges. The internal crossover between low and high sections occurs at 2.0 kHz.

15" Woofer for More Low-End Headroom

The 15" / 381 mm ferrite low-frequency driver is designed for applications demanding stronger bass output. The frequency response at -10 dB spans 40 Hz to 18 kHz. Within the tighter -3 dB range it covers 48 Hz to 16 kHz. Paired with the 1" / 25 mm polymer compression driver, this creates a fullrange system that reproduces music, vocals and speech equally well. The maximum SPL is 129 dB.

90° x 60° Coverage for Wide Audience Areas

Horizontal coverage at -6 dB is 90°, with 60° vertical coverage. This allows the Thrash15v2 to cover wide audience areas and makes it well suited for typical mobile PA applications. For regular front-of-house use the speaker can be mounted on the integrated pole mount. Placed on its side, the cabinet's 45° monitor angle turns it into a powerful stage monitor.

Feedback Eliminator for More Control on Stage

The switchable Feedback Eliminator helps reduce unwanted feedback in microphone applications. Especially on small stages, in rehearsal rooms and when microphones are close to the speaker, this feature can simplify setup. LEDs on the speaker indicate the active voicing mode, Feedback Eliminator, Bluetooth link status as well as signal and overload.

Bluetooth 5.0 Including Link Function

Bluetooth 5.0 lets you stream music, break music and playbacks wirelessly from compatible sources. You can also pair a second ThrashV2 speaker via Bluetooth, enabling wireless stereo or dual-mono configurations without a separate audio cable between speakers. The Bluetooth signal is also part of the audio sent to the XLR mix output.

Direct Audio Connectivity via Combo Input and Mix-Out

The audio input is implemented as an XLR/6.35 mm stereo jack combo connector. Mic/line impedance is 10 kO balanced. The gain control adapts the input to the connected source. The XLR3-M mix output operates with a balanced output impedance of 150 Ohm and allows the mixed signal to be routed to additional audio devices or speakers.

Comprehensive Protection Circuits for Reliable Operation

Peak and RMS limiting protects the input signal and the amplifier system from problematic level peaks. Temperature protection circuits for the power supply and amplifier are also included, supporting operational safety in rehearsal rooms, at events and on the road. Passive convection cooling eliminates the need for additional fans for the LF and HF amplifier sections.

Thrash15v2 for Setups Demanding Stronger Bass

With its 15" woofer the Thrash15v2 differs from the more compact 12" variant by offering deeper low-end reproduction. That makes it especially interesting for music, DJ applications and fullrange setups that need more bass from a single active cabinet. The rugged enclosure features integrated handles and a pole mount on the bottom. With dimensions (W x D x H): 420 x 381 x 691 mm and a weight of 16.5 kg, the speaker remains portable and flexible despite the 15" woofer.
