The Powermake 800 is the perfect power mixer for small bands that bring the vibe to events like weddings, birthday or corporate parties. Numerous connections allow a flexible setup including monitoring, and the two wireless microphones are available to hosts for speeches and announcements.
Connections and Controls
Channels 1 - 8 each feature both a microphone and a balanced line input. In addition to processing via 3-band EQ, each signal can be enhanced with the integrated digital effects. Features like peak indicator, mute button, panorama control, and PFL are also available for every channel strip.
Wireless Microphones
Very handy when the hosts have something to say: with a quick button press, the two microphones synchronize with the receiver module and you’re ready to go! The used UHF wireless signal offers a solid range and can be used license-free within Germany.
Important Note: Both microphones share channel 1 on the mixer and share the sound control of this channel. Therefore, individual sound processing of the two microphones is not possible.
Suitable for Active and Passive Speakers
The many connection options allow for a very flexible setup: As with any standard mixer, the audio signal can be routed via the stereo outputs to an external amplifier or active speakers. The internal amplifier also powers passive PA speakers with 2x 380 watts. A special feature is the Aux output, which can be used, for example, for stage monitoring.

We searched for quite a while, especially since we’d had a power mixer with more channels, stereo channels, and a few other features—we’d gotten used to that, but the project back then was also larger, and yet that unit was somehow still oversized. That mixer is now broken, and for our current project—a duo performing instrumental light music—we wanted a mixer without any unnecessary channels or jacks. In theory (and that was exactly the point), we wired up our entire setup in advance, and the Powermake was able to handle everything we needed, including two UHF mics on a single channel and a built-in receiver. It also has a USB port for flash drives, including a recording function. We use the jack for a flash drive with intermission music. Start and stop at the push of a button. It doesn’t get any more convenient than that.
Due to the design, the headphone jack outputs “only” channels 1 through 6. At first, this didn’t seem right to me, but for our use case, there’s no need to preview audio—for example, from a USB flash drive. We can easily overlook that.
I don’t want to write a technical treatise here. It’s definitely worth mentioning, however, that before and after the purchase, I was able to speak with several sales department employees who answered all my questions about the device in a very friendly and knowledgeable manner and also offered helpful tips. The customer service also deserves a very positive mention here. Many thanks to Musikhaus Kirstein.
We’ve now completed several technical rehearsals and our first 4-hour performance with the “Powermake 600,” and it quickly made us forget our old, broken mixer. The new mixer and our existing Pronomic/Kierstein speakers (used as monitors) work well together.
And before I forget… the package was absolutely awesome, and the build quality of the mixer chassis and microphone housings is top-notch.
