Flexible Concept in a Small Package!
The Powermake 800 is the perfect power mixer for small bands that get the crowd going at events like weddings, birthday parties, or corporate functions. Numerous inputs give you a flexible setup including monitoring, and the two wireless microphones are ready for hosts to use for speeches and announcements.
Inputs and Controls
Channels 1 - 8 each have both a microphone and a balanced line input. In addition to processing with a 3-band EQ, every signal can be refined with the built-in digital effects. Features such as peak meters, mute buttons, pan controls and PFL are also available on every channel.
Wireless Microphones
Very handy when the hosts have something to say: with a short press of a button, the two microphones sync with the receiver module and you're ready to go! The UHF wireless signal offers a solid range and can be used license-free within Germany.
Important Note: Both microphones occupy channel 1 of the mixer and share that channel's tone controls. Therefore, you cannot process the two microphones individually.
Suitable for Active and Passive Speakers
The wide range of connections allows a very flexible setup: as with any standard mixer, the audio signal can be sent via the stereo outputs to an external power amp or active speakers. The internal amplifier can also power passive PA cabinets with 2 x 380 watts. As a special bonus, the Powermake features an aux output that can be used, for example, for stage monitoring.
Effects Unit and Equalizer
A total of 100 digital effects are available to shape the perfect sound. One effect can be selected and mixed into each channel individually. A clear, graphic equalizer is provided to adapt the sound to the room acoustics.
Media Player and Recorder
To keep things interesting during breaks, the media player can play music from USB or via Bluetooth. And for unforgettable memories of great nights, the main mix can even be recorded to USB.

The whole thing works perfectly and the wireless microphones are "the cherry on the cake.
As always with Kirstein, the price-performance ratio is very good, especially if you don't need the equipment professionally.

The ability to control both active and passive speakers with this mixer makes this device incredibly flexible. For example, you can easily add 1-2 active subwoofers when they are needed. I previously used a mixer without an amplifier and used it to drive either 1 pair of active speakers or a small satellite system. That was all very well, but the fact that I always had to supply the speakers on each side with additional power cables was always a pain. Especially when things had to be done quickly, this was an additional time-consuming task. With a power mixer and passive loudspeakers, this is reduced to laying the loudspeaker cables.
I don't want to mention the individual functions because you can read about them. I would just like to mention individual points that I noticed.
Pros
- I think the mixer sounds very good. Of course, it always depends on the speakers.
- The device is not very light due to the power amplifier, but it is quite compact without any limitations in terms of operation and clarity.
- The workmanship is impeccable. The faders and rotary controls have good resistance and are not wobbly, as is the case with many other cheaper manufacturers.
- The 7-band EQ on the sum is a great function for fine-tuning the sound and making adjustments to the speakers used.
- The BT function for easy music playback is flawless. Pairing and coupling work perfectly.
- The effects are functional and sound really great (I need a reverb that doesn't sound tinny, that's all and it's there) and are easy to use without having to set x parameters.
Cons
The fan seems quite loud to me and goes to full power from the first second, not only under load. I constantly measured approx. 45 dB. This can be annoying in quiet environments.
All in all, you get a great, practical, flexible power mixer at a very attractive price. I have not regretted the purchase.
