16-Channel Mixer!
The Soundcraft EPM 12 combines quality, affordable price, and an easy-to-use interface in three models. Low-tolerance components allow precise adjustments, especially important for the preamp and equalizer.
The Soundcraft EPM 12 offers 12 mono and 2 stereo channels. For the first time in this price range, the GB30 preamp design is used, which is also found in the GB series consoles. These preamps are extremely overload-resistant. They feature a 55 dB control range and provide +22 dB headroom. Phantom power supplies condenser microphones of any type with true +48 volts.
A 3-band equalizer with sweepable mids, two aux buses, insert jacks for channels and the main mix, a 10-segment LED chain, and professional XLR and jack connectors (Neutrik) complete the extensive feature set.
A switching power supply is integrated, and the power cable socket is positioned so that no additional rack units need to be considered when mounting.
The Soundcraft EPM 12 is suitable for live sound reinforcement, permanent installations, and recording applications!

Variant Soundcraft EPM 6 Mixer
This rating has been translated automatically. Original language
The decisive factor for me is that a mixer reduces the number of cables to be laid to the patchbay or audio interface to two cables (stereo) in my case. Having an accessible headphone output in the immediate vicinity of some devices is often very practical for me. In addition, it is very important for me to be able to integrate external effects (e.g. foot pedals) directly via the AUX paths or inserts.
I am completely satisfied with the build quality. Nothing wobbles here. I also don't notice any annoying noise, which is not a decisive factor when compared to some older synthesizers.
The exclusively top-mounted connections (except for the mains cable) are very practical for me. This makes spontaneous cabling much easier. Installation in a small transport case for mobile use is also greatly facilitated, as the device can be used immediately after removing the case lid. I rarely use the EQs, so they were not my main decision criterion.
It should be mentioned that the mains plug connection is located underneath the housing and there is no mains switch. In my case, switching off/on is done via a central switch.
Full 5 stars for me.
Questions about product
Question by DJ VamLykTan on 06.11.2025
Which channel are the audio outputs on?
Question, as I get a very weak level via USB in my DJ program (MIXXX).
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
This mixer does not have a USB output. The analog audio outputs are located in the top right-hand corner of the mixer. The signal can be tapped there either via XLR, jack or RCA. For mixers with an integrated USB interface, it is important to know that the signal is always tapped directly after the gain control. This means that the level that is output via USB can only be controlled via the gain. The volume faders have no influence on the USB signal level.
