The Mixer for Casual DJs and Singer/Songwriters in Home Recording!
This clever mixer packs a punch: Besides the two combo inputs for microphones and instruments, it features a media player and a bidirectional audio interface. And you don’t even need a separate power outlet for it!
Channels 1 and 2
These channels have XLR/jack sockets to connect a microphone or an instrument. Got a condenser microphone that requires phantom power? No problem! Just press the button and you’re good to go! For sound shaping, there’s a 2-band equalizer and a switchable echo effect. Delay time and number of echoes can be easily adjusted using the yellow knobs. The peak indicator next to the volume control warns against overload.
Stereo Channel 3/4
For use with electronic instruments like keyboards and samplers, there’s a dedicated channel with selectable jack or RCA inputs. Even this stereo channel features a 2-band equalizer.
USB Playback
DJ hearts will rejoice: a small USB stick full of music is enough to entertain guests all night long. Transport functions allow easy handling of the MP3 player, which is intuitively operated via the display.
Micro-USB
The small USB port on the back serves two purposes: it powers the mixer, whether via a USB power supply, laptop, or power bank, and it transmits and receives the digitized audio signal. The digitized signal from channels 1-4 can be sent directly as a stereo signal to recording software. You can also use a connected computer as a playback device without any issues.
The Choice Is Yours
Two buttons let you basically choose which sound source you want to hear: on the back of the device is the MP3/PC button, which selects whether the mixer acts as an interface or uses the front inputs. Which of these two options (input jacks or media player) is used can be selected with the ST/USB button. Finally, when using the media player, you can choose between USB playback or the Bluetooth® receiver.
USB Recording
A really simple and effective way to capture the evening for posterity is the recording function. The summed signal, i.e. all connected instruments and microphones, is saved as an MP3 file in stereo format on a USB stick. This is not only interesting for small bands in live use but also allows you to create your own recordings at home, e.g. for playalongs or backing tracks.

Variant Pronomic Mini6 6-Channel USB Mixer

I actually only wanted to use it for small live performances where I don't have mains power and I want to use the small condenser mics for the choir. That works fine until the guitar is plugged in too, then it becomes unbearable. But that's exactly what I need, and unfortunately I have to send it back because it won't work. I could tolerate a bit of noise (I'm not a quality fanatic) but it's not just loud noise, it's irregular, relatively loud noises, the origin of which can't be explained so easily.
Nevertheless, there are two points, because the operation with a power bank works, and there are also constellations where the sound is very good to acceptable.

Questions about product
Question by stuffler on 19.02.2025
My question relates to the USB port incl. MP3 player.
Assuming there is exactly one track on the inserted USB stick, which is played, what happens at the end of the track? Is this track repeated in a loop or does playback stop at the end?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
If there is only one track on the USB stick, it will be repeated again and again.
Question by Alen on 24.01.2024
Can I connect pronomic Mini 4 with
Mc Gray E-208LA ?
Thank you
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Yes, this is possible. You need 2x of the following cable:
https://www.kirstein.de/XLR-Kabel/Pronomic-Stage-JXM-10-Stereoklinke-XLR-Kabel-10m.html?
Plug the jack plug into the main out of the mixer and the XLR plug into the two inputs of the McGrey E-208LA
Question by Jeff on 02.09.2023
Is it not possible to control the level of the echo effect? The manual says:
"The two controls of the effect processor influence the strength and the sound of the integrated effect. The Repeat control adjusts the number of echo repeats, the Delay control adjusts the speed of the echo repeats, "
but then it talks about a third control:
"and the LEVEL control adjusts the signal strength of the echo effect mixed to the output signal."
That is what I would expect, for example the Pronomic B-403 has this control. But this Mini4 mixer does not seem to actually have this third "LEVEL" control. Since the per-channel EFX button is only an on/off button, it doesn't appear that it's possible to adjust the amount/intensity of the effect applied to each signal, nor the amount returned to the main mix, on this mixer. There will be a fixed ratio of wet-dry signal. Is that correct?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Das ist erstmal richtig. Beim Mini4 wir der Effekt "Level" Regler durch die beiden Regler Repeat und Delay sozusagen ersetzt, da ein Level-Regler auch nur diese beiden Effekte lauter bzw. leiste stellen würde.
Sie haben also keinen Level-Regler, haben aber trotzdem die Möglichkeit die Effektstärke zu steuern.
