Volca Mix is the long-awaited mixer for the Volca series. With this analog 4-channel performance mixer, you can effortlessly build a live setup from multiple Volca units.

Smooth faders, crisp LO/HI CUT filters, and a master chain for radical sound transformations offer new, creative possibilities. In addition to the sync function present on all Volcas, there are DC outputs that can power up to three additional Volca models. A range of features that ease Volca stage performances are housed like in a high-end DJ mixer in a robust casing made of premium aluminum. The Volca Mix unleashes the full potential of the Volca series.

Analog Mixer for Performances

The Volca Mix is a 4-channel analog mixer with an intuitive interface and high connectivity. Its two mono inputs and one stereo input are perfectly designed for connecting three Volca units. The mini jacks can be linked via individual stereo mini cables to the headphone outputs of external Volca devices.

The vertical faders allow precise control of channel volumes. Adjustable gain for setting the mix balance and mute buttons are also available. The LO/HI CUT filters on the channels let you adjust the low and high frequency ranges with a single control. The flawless, natural-sounding filters are a special strength of analog devices and provide full control over the tonal character.

Master and Monitor Outputs & Stereo Speaker

The output section ensures stable signal connections with stereo RCA jacks. A master volume control with LED VU meter for setting the output level and a headphone output usable in parallel to the line output provide reliable monitoring on stage.

The built-in stereo speakers make the Volca Mix endlessly portable. They are positioned on both sides of the control panel and deliver volume levels that clearly surpass those of other Volca devices despite their compact size.

High-Quality Effects and Intuitive Operation

Powerful Master Chain

The master effects of the Volca Mix are entirely based on analog circuits. In addition to an expander that widens mono sources into a stereo sound image, there is a dynamic range compressor that compresses the high-frequency range relative to level changes in the bass, as well as a side chain effect essential for dance music. These features allow you to dynamically vary the mix and create impressively professional live performances with the Volca.

External Effects for Even More Variety

The Volca Mix also offers stereo send out mini jacks and AUX in jacks per channel, as well as send level controls. This allows the use of external effects devices in a send/return setup. Use devices like the mini kaoss pad 2S to refine your live performances with reverb, delay, filter, break, and other standard effects. The AUX in jack can also be used as a stereo input channel for a fourth Volca model, a smartphone, or any other instrument or audio source.

The Volca Mix also features an analog sync out jack that can be connected for tempo synchronization with many other KORG products, as well as a play button and tempo control for managing the sync signal. Using the Volca Mix as the sync master device in a live setup allows simultaneous playback of sequences from multiple synchronized devices and the creation of innovative performances through combined mute and volume control that truly showcase the unique features of the Volca series.
