AKG D5 Vocal Microphone - The Attention Stays on the Sound!
The AKG D5 is a dynamic vocal microphone for singers and presenters. Its supercardioid polar pattern makes it resistant to feedback, so on loud stages you hear only what you want to hear. Thanks to a slight boost in the mid and high frequencies, vocals are reproduced with clarity and punch.
Unique is AKG's patented Varimotion diaphragm. It provides a balanced sound and excellent speech intelligibility. Unlike conventional microphones, the diaphragm varies in thickness: the thicker center allows the microphone to tolerate very high sound pressure levels, while the thin edge generates powerful bass. Vocals and speech therefore cut through even dense mixes. Handling and cable noise are effectively suppressed by the elastic capsule mount.
To avoid annoying plosive and breath noises, the AKG D5's grille features an integrated windscreen. The microphone housing is metal with a scratch-resistant finish, making it extremely durable and robust. A microphone holder and a microphone stand are included. The microphone is also available as the D5 S with a pop-free on/off switch.
