Weighing just under 1 kg, the PodMic features its own swivel mount, allowing it to be attached to a desk stand or microphone arm and easily positioned toward the speaker. No shock mount is needed, as the microphone capsule is elastically suspended and the swivel mount is internally decoupled from the body, preventing issues with handling noise.

As a dynamic microphone, the PodMic is far less sensitive than a condenser mic, making it ideal for studios and speaker rooms dealing with ambient noise. The double-layer stainless steel grille and a fabric layer over the capsule effectively soften plosives and sibilance without compromising clarity. An external pop filter is not required.
