RØDE NTG-1 - Professional Battery-Powered Shotgun Microphone!
The RØDE NTG2 is an ultralight condenser shotgun microphone designed for professional film, video, television and other production applications. With its wide frequency response, low self-noise and detailed audio quality, it’s ideal for film and ADR/sync work. And at just 161 g, boom-operator fatigue is minimized when using a boom pole. The frequency response is 20 Hz–20 kHz, but can be limited by the 80 Hz high-pass filter to reduce low-frequency noise.
The NTG2 can be powered either by a single AA battery (1.5 V) or by P48 phantom power, which is supplied by professional cameras, audio recorders and external power supplies. Battery operation makes the NTG2 suitable for use with DSLR cameras, which typically lack phantom power. A WSVM windshield to reduce wind noise and plosives is included. For outdoor use we recommend the optional DeadCat furry windshield. The RØDE NTG2 is made in Australia and qualifies for a free extension of the RØDE warranty to 10 years.
