The Shure KSM 137 / SL Stereo Set provides two high-quality small-diaphragm condenser microphones that are ideal for detailed stereo recordings. Thanks to the constant cardioid pattern, high maximum SPL and flexible pad and filter controls, you can capture both delicate acoustic instruments and loud sound sources cleanly, dynamically and with very low noise.
The Advantages of Small-Diaphragm Microphones
The KSM137 fully exploits the benefits of a small diaphragm: extremely natural sound and ultra-precise transient response. Acoustic instruments sound exactly as they should—uncolored and clear, with every detail preserved in the sound.
Not Just for Acoustic Instruments
The KSM137 also performs exceptionally well on extremely loud electric instruments. The three-position attenuation (0, -15, -25 dB) lets it tolerate extreme sound pressure levels up to 164 dB.
Premium Components
The KSM137 is fitted with high-quality components such as ultrathin (2.5 µm), 24k gold-plated Mylar diaphragms with low mass for outstanding transient response. The transformerless Class A preamp circuit eliminates overload distortion and achieves improved linearity across the full frequency spectrum.
For Studio and Stage
Like all Shure microphones, the KSM137 is built roadworthy and easily withstands the rigors of stage life. The supplied carrying case protects it during transport.
Stereo Pair
The KSM137 is supplied as a stereo pair. The stereo set includes the A27M stereo microphone adapter.
How It Differs From the KSM141
The KSM137 delivers the same high-quality features and sound as the KSM141. However, the KSM137 has a fixed cardioid pattern and does not offer the option to switch the polar pattern from cardioid to omnidirectional.
