The Advantages of a Small Diaphragm
The KSM141 fully exploits the benefits of a small diaphragm: extremely natural sound and the most accurate transient response. Acoustic instruments sound exactly as they should—uncolored and clear, with all the existing detail in the tone.
Not Just for Acoustic Instruments
The KSM141 also performs very well on extremely loud electric instruments. The three-position selectable attenuation (0, -15, -25 dB) even allows handling of extreme sound pressure levels of up to 164 dB.

The KSM141 is equipped with high-quality parts such as the ultrathin (2.5 µm), low-mass Mylar diaphragms with 24k gold coating for outstanding transient response. The transformerless Class-A preamp design eliminates crossover distortion and delivers improved linearity across the entire frequency spectrum.
For Studio and Stage
Like all Shure microphones, the KSM141 is roadworthy and easily endures the rough conditions of live performance. The supplied carrying case protects it during transport.
Full Feature Set with Mechanically Switchable Polar Pattern for Maximum Flexibility
For maximum flexibility across a wide range of applications and environments, the switchable polar pattern complements the three-position high-pass filter and the three-position pad. Switching between cardioid and omnidirectional occurs purely mechanically, without additional electronics or capsule changes.
What Is the Difference to the KSM137?
The KSM137 offers the same high-end features and sound as the KSM141. The KSM141, however, provides the option to change the polar pattern from cardioid to omnidirectional.
