PEEK Performance Driver
The H200 features a 40 mm driver made from polyetheretherketone (PEEK), guaranteeing a balanced frequency response from 2 Hz to 23.5 kHz, ample sound pressure, and low distortion. For crystal-clear sound, it is combined with a lightweight neodymium magnet system.
Leatherette and Soft Fabric Ear Pads
The H200 comes standard with easy-to-clean leatherette ear pads. A soft fabric padding is available separately as an accessory. In both cases, memory foam ensures a comfortable fit, dampens internal resonances, and provides excellent isolation during recording and working in noisy environments. Frequency response differences due to the varying acoustic properties of the available ear pads can be compensated via the DAW plugin.
Anodized Aluminum Headband, Durable Headband, and Replaceable Padding
The materials were chosen for strength, comfort, and durability. Accordingly, the selected headband components provide firm but not excessive clamping force, while the padding is easy to keep clean and replaceable if damaged. The result is good external ear isolation, especially controlling unwanted resonances in the challenging frequency range between 70 and 150 Hz.
Dual-Sided Connections
The audio cable can be attached to either the left or right side via the angled and concealed 2.5 mm input jack with additional locking on the H200. Unlike bayonet or screw mechanisms, the locking system releases under strong pressure to prevent damage to the cable or headphones. This results in a more efficient connection to source devices and easy replacement of damaged cables.
Detachable, Durable Enameled Cable
The included detachable audio cable is three meters long and was selected for its durability, flexibility, and low mechanical noise. It terminates in a 3.5 mm plug and comes with an adapter to 6.35 mm. A shorter 1.2-meter cable and a coiled 3-meter cable are available as optional accessories.
ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plugin
The included ADAM Audio Headphone Utility software was developed to optimize the H200 headphones and can be downloaded for free upon product registration. Although the H200 already sounds great out of the box, the impedance of the source device and different ear pad materials affect the perceived sound quality.
Furthermore, traditional headphones have limited stereo imaging compared to speakers due to their inherent design. The Headphone Utility software is designed for use in the stereo mix of a DAW. It offers a range of optimization tools and a spatialization function for a more natural stereo playback.

The cable is detachable and - premiere? - can be plugged in both left and right. Super. It's thick enough and still flexible, so it doesn't get in the way all the time. Unfortunately, you can hear the cable rubbing against your clothing quite loudly in your ear, which can only be remedied with a fastening clip, otherwise it would be quite annoying.
For me, the sound is ideal for mixing (not mastering). What strikes my old ears: The H200 resolves details very well, especially in the mid-range. Second big plus point: the bass reproduction is pleasantly "restrained" (so there is no overemphasis on the bass to color the music, as is often the case with smaller headphones, such as AKG), but the bass frequency response reaches so incredibly deep down that I have never experienced it with any other headphones

Together with a MOTU M4 and the H200, the 5-string bass can still be heard round and absolutely clear even on the low B-string! And I also noticed the noise of the studio equipment in the clip so clearly for the first time with the ADAM H200...
The ADAM plug-in for integration into the DAW allows you to change some monitoring preferences (e.g. the simulation of the L/R crosstalk of near-field monitors or the frequency curve). Not wrong!
The announced fabric ear pads and alternative cables are not yet available anywhere as of February 2025, hopefully they will remain within the price range...
