The PEEK driver and the headphone's acoustic housing deliver the outstanding sound quality ADAM Audio is renowned for, while the lightweight, well-thought-out construction ensures a comfortable fit and good sound isolation. Replaceable headband padding, interchangeable memory foam ear pads, a removable main cable and generally robust construction provide long service life even in tough studio use. A high-quality carrying pouch enables convenient transport.
A clear added value of the H200 is the specially designed ADAM Audio Headphone Utility DAW plug-in. The included software offers a range of optimization tools for the H200 as well as a spatialization feature that uses advanced crossfeed techniques to provide an improved simulation of human spatial perception.
PEEK Performance Driver
The H200 features a 40 mm polyether ether ketone (PEEK) driver that guarantees a balanced frequency response from 2 Hz to 23.5 kHz, ample output and low distortion. For crystal-clear sound this is combined with a lightweight neodymium magnet system.
Synthetic Leather Ear Pads and Soft Fabric Cushioning
The H200 ships standard with easy-to-clean synthetic leather ear pads. A soft fabric cushioning is available as separate accessory. In both cases memory foam ensures a comfortable fit, damps internal resonances and provides excellent isolation for recording and working in noisy environments. Frequency response differences due to the varying acoustic properties of the available ear pads can be compensated via the DAW plug-in.
Anodized Aluminum Headband, Durable Headband and Replaceable Padding
Materials were chosen for strength, wearing comfort and durability. Accordingly, the selected headband components provide a firm but not excessive clamping force, while the padding is easy to keep clean and replaceable if damaged. The result is good external isolation of the ear, which helps control unwanted resonances especially in the problematic 70–150 Hz range.
Bi-Sided Connections
The audio cable can be attached to either the left or right side via the angled, recessed 2.5 mm input jack with supplemental locking on the H200. Unlike bayonet or screw-in mechanisms, the locking used releases under high pressure to prevent damage to the cable or the headphones. This yields a more efficient connection to source devices and makes replacing damaged cables easier.
Removable, Durable Enameled Cable
The supplied removable audio cable is three meters long and was chosen for its durability, flexibility and low mechanical noise. It terminates in a 3.5 mm plug and is supplied with a 6.35 mm adapter. A shorter 1.2-meter cable and a coiled 3-meter cable are available as optional accessories.
ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plug-in
The included ADAM Audio Headphone Utility software was developed to optimize the H200 headphone and can be downloaded free of charge upon product registration. Although the H200 already sounds great out of the box, the impedance of the source device and different ear pad materials influence the perceived sound quality.
Furthermore, traditional headphones have a limited stereo image compared to speakers due to their inherent design. The Headphone Utility software is designed for use on the stereo bus of a DAW. It provides a set of optimization tools plus a spatialization feature for a more natural stereo reproduction.

The cable is detachable and - premiere? - can be plugged in both left and right. Super. It's thick enough and still flexible, so it doesn't get in the way all the time. Unfortunately, you can hear the cable rubbing against your clothing quite loudly in your ear, which can only be remedied with a fastening clip, otherwise it would be quite annoying.
For me, the sound is ideal for mixing (not mastering). What strikes my old ears: The H200 resolves details very well, especially in the mid-range. Second big plus point: the bass reproduction is pleasantly "restrained" (so there is no overemphasis on the bass to color the music, as is often the case with smaller headphones, such as AKG), but the bass frequency response reaches so incredibly deep down that I have never experienced it with any other headphones

Together with a MOTU M4 and the H200, the 5-string bass can still be heard round and absolutely clear even on the low B-string! And I also noticed the noise of the studio equipment in the clip so clearly for the first time with the ADAM H200...
The ADAM plug-in for integration into the DAW allows you to change some monitoring preferences (e.g. the simulation of the L/R crosstalk of near-field monitors or the frequency curve). Not wrong!
The announced fabric ear pads and alternative cables are not yet available anywhere as of February 2025, hopefully they will remain within the price range...
