M-Live Mediaplayer B.Beat - let it beat!
The M-Live B.Beat Mediaplayer plays backing tracks multitrack, plays videos, creates playlist scenes and shows, and guarantees excellent click and metronome management.
B.Beat reads and plays music files in WAV, multitrack audio, stems, and MIDI formats as well as video/photo files in MP4, MOV, and JPG. You can use backing tracks from MP3 files up to true multitrack audio projects directly from any DAW (up to 16 mono or 8 stereo tracks). B.Beat can also store a large number of backing tracks.
The backing tracks can be synchronized with a video (or images) transmitted via the HDMI output to the video wall. B.Beat features a mixer to adjust the different audio tracks, the 6 separate outputs, and the headset channels, e.g., the click.
Integrated Digital Mixer
B.Beat includes a digital mixer for 6 separate outputs, 2 inputs, a click headset output, return to the mixer, and backing tracks; with 4 handy potentiometers, the musician can balance in real time what they want to hear through the headset during the performance. The 6 outputs allow the tracks that make up the backing tracks to be sent to the stage mixer.
Through the two inputs, a stereo or mono audio signal from any source can be fed into B.Beat. B.Beat detects the click track and can route it to one of the 6 available outputs and simultaneously to the headset output.
B.Beat on Stage
B.Beat is designed to guarantee maximum reliability at live events. There is a special button on the [LIVE] panel that can be used when the show starts because from that moment the B.Beat processor focuses on ensuring maximum performance without wasting resources. This reduces the risk of unintended crashes and prevents the user from accidentally activating functions.
B.Beat connects via Wi-Fi to smart devices to read lyrics, sheet music, and other useful information during a live performance. B.Beat reads USB sticks for quick transfer of MP3 stereo backing tracks, with or without click.
Organize Your Performance
B.Beat handles individual backing tracks organized into handy playlists or true shows consisting of multiple scenes of different kinds. Projects can include music, videos, and images, as well as MIDI tracks to send messages to various live devices. The philosophy behind B.Beat is to simplify the management of backing tracks and videos during a show.
With B.Beat, no more computers, tablets, sound and video cards, cables, or mixers are needed on stage. B.Beat provides the appropriate solution with just a few square centimeters and a weight of only 600 g.
Prepare B.Beat for a Show
Create your backing tracks with a DAW. For the subsequent transfer to B.Beat, the B.Beat Manager app is available, running on Windows computers and Macs. With this app, you assign outputs to the different tracks.
If you have synchronized a video with the music, you can upload it to B.Beat and manage it together with the backing tracks—or manage videos and images independently from the music.
Use B.Beat with USB Stick
If you want to upload MP3 backing tracks to B.Beat without using a computer, you can do so with a USB stick and transfer the files very quickly to the internal storage—or play them directly from the stick.
Metronome and Click
B.Beat has its own metronome session. You can operate a metronome very easily and directly on stage. The audio click of the metronome can be output to one of the 6 outputs and simultaneously sent to the drummer’s headset.
The same happens with the click when it is recorded on the backing tracks. If the click track is present in the multitrack backing tracks, it is detected and sent to a separate output and to the headset.
Song Service Website
B.Beat can read files in the MTA format (Multitrack Audio) produced and distributed by M-Live via the Song Service website. (MTA files are multitrack files that B.Beat reads in 8 stereo tracks.)
The backing tracks are structured as follows:
- Track 1: Drums
- Track 2: Bass
- Track 3: Guitar
- Track 4: Keys
- Track 5: Orchestra
- Track 6: Brass instruments
- Track 7: Click
- Track 8: Melody
Audio projects with 16 separate stereo tracks are also available and can be freely adapted to B.Beat with any DAW.
