Tonearm-Free DVS Control Eliminates Skipping During Digital Playback

No matter how hard you scratch – with the PLX-CRSS12 in Digital Vinyl Mode, you’ll never experience needle skipping thanks to the tonearm-free system. The new MAGVEL CLAMP holds the record firmly in place when you touch it, allowing you to control the digital music file directly, giving you the true feel of vinyl without needing to use the tonearm.

When playing records in analog mode, the experience is just like using the popular PLX-1000 deck.

Customizable with MAGVEL CLAMP – Tailored to Your Needs

You can quickly adjust the "weight setting" of the record using the knob on top of the MAGVEL CLAMP.

This lets you effortlessly continue your performance without the hassle of swapping slipmats or slip sheets.

Individually Adjustable Torque

In the PLX-CRSS12 settings, you can easily adjust the turntable’s torque to your preference. Choose "High" for quick start when pressing PLAY, "Low" for the traditional torque many DJs are familiar with, and "Mid" for a balanced mix of both.

This way, you can set the torque according to your personal style and individual needs.

Adjustable Stop Speed

With the switch on the front of the turntable, you can set the time it takes for the platter to stop when you press the STOP button. The "Min" position causes a quick and sharp brake. The "Mid" position corresponds to the traditional stop speed familiar to many DJs.

The "Max" position produces the longest stop speed for a gradual and dramatic end to a track or performance. This lets you tailor the turntable’s stopping exactly to your wishes and the desired effect.

Performance Pads for Precise & Fast Control

The PLX-CRSS12 incorporates classic elements of turntable layout, but a new addition is the 4 integrated MIDI-mappable performance pads that put your favorite functions right at your fingertips. They’re located exactly where you need them – just below the platter – so you can trigger hot cues and samples faster than ever.

This is especially handy when DJing on a mixer without pads. There’s native support for various pad modes (see below), and a dedicated button lets you switch pad control from 1–4 to 5–8. The pads are also MIDI-mappable, so you can assign them to other functions.

OLED Display

The built-in OLED display helps you keep your focus on the turntable. You can monitor tempo range and key when using step pitching.

When you connect the PLX-CRSS12 via USB to your PC/Mac running DJ software, you can access BPM, key, and deck number information.

The display also provides quick access to utility settings – keeping you focused and avoiding unnecessary glances at your laptop or mixer during a performance.

High-Quality Sound Reproduction of LPs

Let your audience enjoy your music as it was originally intended. The PLX-CRSS12 is carefully designed to improve on the sound quality of the professional DJ turntable PLX-1000, which is highly praised for its precise sound reproduction.

A switching power supply is used to eliminate vibrations and interference and suppress unwanted noise, resulting in high-resolution sound quality.

As with the PLX-1000, the upper part of the chassis is made of high-mass, die-cast zinc, while the lower part consists of 8 mm thick resin.

Gold-Plated, Machined RCA Terminals

The RCA terminals, like those on the PLX-1000, are made of gold-plated, machined parts, and the phono signal is transmitted via a stable connection directly through the plug to reproduce the record’s sound with high-quality audio.

Robust and Elegant Matte Black Design

The PLX-CRSS12 presents itself in a refined matte black finish, with special coatings applied to the tonearm and other metal parts. Carefully crafted details give it a robust yet elegant appearance.
