The McGrey SSB-420 GY/RD set combines two active Bluetooth garden speakers in a rounded stone look with 2 x 8 Watt output, each featuring a 4" driver, Bluetooth 5.4 and an IPX5 water-resistant design. The 2600 mAh battery enables up to 10 hours of playback and is recharged in only about 2 hours via USB-C. The supplied speaker pair supports TWS for stereo sound, while additional compatible speakers can be linked via Multi-Link to broaden the sound coverage.

Powerful Sound For Garden And Terrace

The two active speakers each deliver 8 Watts and use a driver with a 4" diaphragm. Together the set provides 2 x 8 Watt for pleasant outdoor music playback. The integrated Class-D amplifier is tuned for outdoor use and enables efficient operation from the built-in battery. The frequency response of 90 Hz to 12,000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 80 dB form the technical basis for balanced reproduction of various audio content.

Bluetooth 5.4 And Wireless TWS Stereo Sound

Smartphones, tablets and other compatible playback devices connect conveniently via Bluetooth 5.4. The master speaker appears under the pairing name SSB-420 in the Bluetooth settings. The range between the playback device and the master is up to 10 m. For stereo sound, the two included speakers are paired via TWS. This creates a wireless speaker pair that can be positioned flexibly left and right in the desired outdoor area.

Multi-Link For Wider Sound Coverage

For larger areas the SSB-420 also offers the Multi-Link function. One speaker acts as the master while additional compatible speakers are connected as link speakers. Each link speaker should be within a 10 m range of the master. This lets you expand the system as needed without running conventional audio cables between speakers. LED indicators clearly show Bluetooth and Multi-Link connection status as well as charging.

2600 mAh Battery And Only About 2 Hours Charging Time

The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 3.7 V / 2600 mAh and provides up to 10 hours of playback time. Charging is handled conveniently via the USB-C port at DC 5 V. With a charging time of only about 2 hours the speaker pair is quickly ready for use again. Two charging cables are included in the scope of delivery. If the speaker is unused for an extended period, the automatic shutdown after 10 minutes of inactivity helps conserve stored energy.

Round RD Rock Shape For A Natural Garden Effect

The RD version differs from the more angular ED model by its softer, rounded shape. The gray stone look resembles a smoothed boulder and allows particularly discreet placement among plants, on terraces or in other landscaped garden areas. Thanks to IPX5 the housing is water-resistant and designed for outdoor use. The McGrey SSB-420 therefore combines the benefits of a modern Bluetooth speaker with the restrained appearance of a rock-style or garden speaker and remains visually much less conspicuous than a classic speaker box.
