Even In The Rain
The IP56 rating denotes the McGrey OLS-5251's suitability for outdoor use. The so-called IP code (International Protection Code) specifies a device's suitability for certain temperatures, humidity, vapors, dust and other conditions. IP56 means the OLS-5251 is protected against strong water jets and its enclosure also provides full protection against contact. In addition, dust—even in amounts that would normally be harmful—cannot damage this unit.
70/100V Option
The OLS-5251 outdoor enclosure can be connected to any conventional HiFi and PA amplifiers; there is also the option to run the speaker on 70 V or 100 V distributed/public-address systems. The required power is set via a rotary control.
Rugged Wall Speaker
With the mounting bracket the McGrey cabinet can be easily fixed to a wall. The speaker is designed so it can rotate 90° vertically and 170° horizontally. The OLS-5251 therefore offers maximum flexibility. At the same time the speaker is robust and built to be a long-term musical companion. The mounting bracket and grille are made of aluminum, the enclosure of durable plastic.
Available In Two Sizes
The McGrey OLS speaker is available not only in black and white: two different sizes are offered (5.25" and 6.5" woofers), each with different power ratings.
