Powerful Stereo Amplifier with ToP-ART Technology

With 100 watts of output power per channel into 8 ohms, the Yamaha R-N800A delivers impressive power reserves for dynamic music playback. Yamaha ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) combines a symmetrical left-right circuit design with exceptionally short signal paths and a stable, vibration-resistant chassis. The specially developed Art Base reduces unwanted mechanical vibrations, while anti-resonance feet provide additional stability. A sophisticated low-impedance design helps keep signal transmission loss-free. Pure Direct mode provides especially faithful audio playback by processing music signals along the most direct path possible. The result is precise stereo sound with controlled bass, natural-sounding vocals, and a well-defined soundstage.

YPAO R.S.C. for Optimal Room Acoustics

Built-in Yamaha YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer) automatically adapts playback to the acoustic properties of your listening room. The included YPAO measurement microphone analyzes the room and speaker placement. YPAO R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) also accounts for early sound reflections from walls, furniture, and other surfaces. A high-precision equalizer with an internal resolution of up to 192 kHz and 64 bits enables finely tuned sound correction. The result is balanced music playback with clear instrument separation and a convincing stereo soundstage.

ESS SABRE Ultra DAC for High-Resolution Music

The integrated ESS SABRE ES9080Q Ultra DAC, with support for 384 kHz and 32-bit audio, handles high-quality digital-to-analog conversion for transparent, detailed playback from digital music sources. The Yamaha R-N800A can also serve as an external USB DAC for a compatible computer via its asynchronous USB-B port. It supports high-resolution PCM audio up to 384 kHz and 32 bits, as well as native DSD playback up to 11.2 MHz. A high-precision quartz clock helps ensure stable signal processing. This makes the network receiver an excellent choice for demanding Hi-Res audio recordings and extensive digital music libraries.

MusicCast Multiroom and Versatile Music Streaming

Yamaha MusicCast turns the R-N800A into a versatile network player and streaming amplifier. Connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to access compatible music streaming services such as Spotify and Amazon Music HD, internet radio, and music files from a PC or NAS. Apple AirPlay 2 lets you wirelessly stream audio from compatible Apple devices, while Bluetooth provides a flexible connection for smartphones, tablets, and other audio devices. The MusicCast Controller app makes it easy to control your music and connect multiple compatible MusicCast devices to create a multiroom audio system. It supports a wide range of audio formats, including MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, and DSD. The receiver is also Roon Tested, meaning it has been verified to work with Roon music software.

Digital and Analog Connections for Maximum Flexibility

The Yamaha R-N800A offers an extensive range of connections for both modern and classic Hi-Fi components. Two optical and two coaxial digital inputs let you connect compatible TVs, CD players, and other digital audio devices. The built-in phono MM input lets you connect a suitable turntable directly. There’s also a CD input and two analog line inputs. Connect external power amplifiers via the stereo pre-out, while the subwoofer output lets you add a powered subwoofer to your stereo system. Two independently switchable speaker groups, A/B, with high-quality solid brass speaker terminals support flexible speaker configurations and bi-wiring connections.

DAB/DAB+ and Internet Radio for Versatile Radio Reception

This lets you receive a wide range of digital and analog radio stations directly through your stereo system. Up to 40 presets are available for DAB/DAB+.
