Precise amplification with UHC-MOS technology

Denon's Advanced Ultra High Current MOS-FET Single-Push-Pull circuit was designed for high current delivery and controlled speaker drive. Rated output is 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms across the 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz range at 0.07% THD. Into 4 ohms, it delivers 140 watts per channel at 1 kHz and 0.7% THD. A/B speaker terminals and bi-wiring support flexible stereo configurations. The carefully designed power supply provides a stable foundation for dynamic recordings.

Hi-Res audio via USB-B and PCM1795 DAC

Connect your computer via USB-B and use the PMA-1700NE as a high-quality external USB DAC. The integrated PCM1795 converter handles PCM up to 384 kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2 MHz. Asynchronous USB operation, full USB isolation and the DAC Master Clock Design help reduce interference and jitter. Advanced AL32 Processing Plus supports faithful reconstruction of digital audio signals.

Analog music and vinyl with MM/MC phono

A switchable phono input supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. Analog CD players and other Hi-Fi sources can also be connected via analog inputs. Analog Mode switches off the digital circuitry when you want to focus on purely analog playback. Source Direct bypasses the tone controls in the signal path for uncolored music reproduction.

Digital connections, power amp input and convenience

Two optical and one coaxial input are available for a TV, CD transport or other digital sources, each supporting PCM up to 192 kHz/24-bit. The EXT. PRE input lets you use the unit as a stereo power amplifier with an external preamp. An analog recorder output, a headphone jack and two sets of speaker terminals round out the connections. Electronically controlled volume, bass, treble and balance, along with a dimmable display, make operation simple.
