Denon PMA-1700NE 2-Channel Hi-Fi Integrated Amplifier, Black

Denon PMA-1700NE – confident high-end stereo sound in black!

The Denon PMA-1700NE in black is a high-quality hi-fi stereo integrated amplifier featuring a powerful Advanced Ultra High Current circuit, integrated USB DAC and MM/MC phono preamplifier. Two discrete power amplifiers deliver 70 watts per channel at 8 ohms or 140 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Advanced AL32 Processing Plus, a PCM1795 D/A converter and DAC Master Clock Design ensure detailed processing of digital music. Whether you’re playing vinyl, using a CD player or listening to high-resolution audio files from a computer, this Denon amplifier is a precise, versatile hub for your stereo system.

Advanced UHC-MOS for controlled sound

The Advanced Ultra High Current MOS-FET Single-Push-Pull power amplifiers combine high current capability with finely detailed reproduction. With both channels driven simultaneously, they deliver 2 x 70 watts at 8 ohms across 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz with 0.07% total harmonic distortion. At 4 ohms, the PMA-1700NE delivers 2 x 140 watts at 1 kHz with 0.7% total harmonic distortion. The A/B speaker terminals allow you to connect two pairs of speakers or bi-wire compatible speakers.

USB DAC and Advanced AL32 Processing Plus

Connect a PC or Mac to the integrated D/A converter via the rear USB-B input. The asynchronous USB DAC supports PCM audio up to 384 kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2 MHz. Galvanic isolation of the USB input and DAC Master Clock Design help reduce digital interference and jitter. Advanced AL32 Processing Plus optimizes the reconstruction of digital audio signals for natural, detailed sound.

MM/MC phono and pure analog mode

The integrated phono preamplifier supports moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, so you can connect a compatible turntable directly. Additional analog inputs accept a CD player, network player or recording device. Analog mode switches off the digital circuitry to help reduce potential interference during analog playback. Source Direct bypasses the tone controls for the shortest possible signal path.

Flexible connections and high-quality controls

Two optical and one coaxial digital input support PCM signals up to 192 kHz/24-bit. The Denon PMA-1700NE can also be used as a dedicated stereo power amplifier with a suitable external preamplifier via EXT. PRE. A recording output and 6.35 mm headphone jack round out the connections. High-precision electronic volume, bass, treble and balance controls, a dimmable display and the included remote control make operation convenient. The robust chassis with a black aluminum front panel fits elegantly into sophisticated hi-fi systems.
