Tiki was typically depicted as a wooden statue with folded arms, short legs, and an expressive face. These statues were meant to grant protection and goodwill to their owners.
Tiki as a Symbol for the Ukuleles: The Tiki Uku emblem on the models in this series was chosen by Lâg because it represents the dominion of Tiki and the grace of the ukulele in one image.
Both the soprano and concert models in this series feature a Sapele body. This medium-brown wood with its linear grain was finished with a soft satin finish for refinement, shining in its pure, natural beauty. Besides its stunning look, this hardwood is mainly used in guitar and instrument making for its pleasant and full sound.
