Plastic Fantastic! People often say plastic ukuleles are cheap, inferior backup instruments compared to the "real" ukuleles. But far from it! The sound and durability of this ukulele, with a deliberately plastic body and a laminated linden top in walnut look, will surprise you—no, it will totally blow you away! Rain and moody teens are no problem for this ukulele, and it’s also perfect for music teachers.

Thanks to a wider, arched ABS back, this baby has more midrange volume than an average soprano, resonates better, and sounds brighter. The TUS35 uses laminated walnut for the soundboard. Linden is a wood known for its bright tone and smooth texture. It also absorbs watercolors in an interesting way, creating very cool patterns, meaning each ukulele is unique. Additionally, Flight uses a special wiping technique to create even more patterns.

The neck and fingerboard of the TUS35 are made of ABS plastic. This is a perfect solution for entry-level ukuleles, as weather changes won’t affect them. The neck surface imitates wood grain to avoid a cheap plastic feel.

Zero frets combined with a unique bridge design keep string action low and intonation spot on. Since the plastic never moves, you won’t need extra work on the nut. The headstock design is a key part of Flight’s identity. The TUS35’s headstock veneer is laminated walnut, matching the top. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully designed headstock with tuners that always stay in tune.
