Solid Mahogany Top

For the NUT500 tenor ukulele, we use a solid mahogany top paired with mahogany laminate back and sides. Mahogany is a dense hardwood known for its straight grain and fine, even texture. Its tonal qualities provide a full, warm sound with excellent sustain and balance. The solid top enhances resonance and projection, giving the NUT500 a rich and dynamic tone. As with all our ukuleles, the rosettes are hand-drawn and laser-engraved.

The bridge is where the magic happens! The continuous Techwood bridge on the NUT500 ensures excellent stability and smooth transmission of string vibrations, delivering a balanced tone. The nut and saddle are made from ABS, a durable material that gives the ukulele great sound and reliable performance.

The headstock design is a key part of our identity. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully crafted headstock with geared tuners that stay in tune. The NUT500’s headstock is made of rosewood to match the fretboard, giving it a unified look and a touch of elegance.

Tuner

The Rocktile CL-118 is a compact clip tuner suitable for tuning many instrument groups. Besides the chromatic mode, the CL-118 can be set for guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele. For ukuleles, two different tuning modes are even available.
