Epiphone Blues King Studio Acoustic Guitar in Ebony Including Gigbag!
The Epiphone Blues King Studio is part of the brand-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars were completely redesigned to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by the legendary Gibson designs. The Blues King Studio delivers an appealing blend of vintage charm and modern craftsmanship and is built to produce an expressive, resonant tone that’s perfect for blues and folk enthusiasts.
Based on the classic Gibson parlor acoustics, the Blues King Studio—with its smaller parlor body and shorter 24.75" scale length—is an excellent first guitar for younger players and a solid choice for players of smaller stature. Its bluesy voice is ideal for fingerstyle, blues, folk, Americana and other traditional music styles. The Blues King Studio features a multi-ply mahogany L-00–style body with single-ply cream binding on the top and back, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that only improves with age.
The mahogany neck is glued into a tapered dovetail joint at the body and sports a comfortable, rounded C-profile. It features a rosewood fretboard with 19 standard frets and simple pearloid dot inlays. The strings pass over a compensated plastic nut and anchor with ivory-colored bridge pins on a rectangular rosewood bridge.
Epiphone also added other details that give the Blues King Studio extra vintage flair, including an L-00–shaped dark tortoiseshell pickguard, three-on-a-plate tuners with ivory plastic buttons, and a '60s Kalamazoo-style headstock proudly screen-printed with the Epiphone logo in gold.
The Blues King Studio comes equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that give the player quick, easy access while remaining virtually invisible to the audience. The Epiphone Blues King Studio sports a gloss finish and is available in two vintage colors: Ebony and Dark Burst. A standard gigbag is also included.
