Myrtlewood Body

Oregon Myrtle, also known as California Bay Laurel or Pepperwood, has a light brown-blonde color and gives every guitar a distinctive visual edge. Due to the strong and very individual grain of the wood, each guitar is essentially a one-of-a-kind piece. Myrtlewood produces a very clear and open sound.

Aged Style Top

An aged vintage guitar is the ultimate when it comes to tone. Through playing and seasonal changes over decades, the wood’s structure changes and the sound opens up, becoming more open and softer. This is exactly what is missing in a new instrument that initially sounds very closed and tight—until now. Through Cort’s special production process called ATV (Aged To Vintage), the top is thermally treated in an elaborate procedure. This achieves the characteristic sound of old instruments without lengthy break-in time.

Vibration-Friendly UV Finish

The high-tech finish is on one hand very hard and resistant, and on the other hand very thin, positively supporting the guitar’s vibration properties.

Flat Body with Arched Back

The flat SFX body was designed for improved playing comfort. The arched back compensates for the reduced depth to produce a bigger and more open sound.

Modern V-Neck Profile

This new neck profile allows extremely comfortable playing—even in the highest frets of the cutaway.
