A.I.R.port

Through intensive research and development, the A.I.R.port features a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and directs them out through a precisely positioned sound hole. This allows players to hear what they play more clearly, enhancing the overall playing experience.

Advanced Auditorium Body

With the concept of Advanced Acoustics - "Reimagining Acoustic Experience" in mind, the new body shape of the Advanced Auditorium was carefully designed, based on research into the general auditorium body shape. After many rounds of prototyping, the Advanced Auditorium body features a slightly wider waist, shifted slightly toward the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape delivers richer low mids and a better balance between body and weight, which is often lacking in conventional auditorium guitars.

X-M Bracing of the AAM Series

After more than two years of trial and error, research, and prototyping, Ibanez developed the proprietary X-M bracing specifically for Advanced Auditorium guitars to produce the ultimate sound for stage and studio. The carefully designed scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and finger braces efficiently transfer string vibrations from the bridge to the body. These braces provide a wide dynamic range and excellent response. The mids are slightly scooped for better tonal balance, and the highs have the clarity of steel strings while retaining the warmth of nylon strings.
