The Advanced Acoustic series marks a significant leap forward in the long and storied tradition of acoustic guitars. These instruments are designed from the ground up to deliver a richer, brighter tone with an unparalleled wide dynamic range, offering a completely new acoustic experience. The AAM50LCE features AAM series-specific elements such as the A.I.R.port, X-M Bracing, and the Advanced Auditorium body. It also sports an Okoume neck, a Purpleheart fretboard, a solid Sitka spruce top, and Sapele back & sides. Additionally, the guitar offers an Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with built-in tuner, and a Purpleheart bridge.

A.I.R.port

Through intensive research and development, the A.I.R.port was given a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and directs them out through a precisely positioned soundhole. This allows players to hear what they play more clearly, enhancing the overall playing experience.

Advanced Auditorium Body

With the Advanced Acoustics concept - "Reimagining Acoustic Experience" in mind, the new body shape of the Advanced Auditorium was carefully designed based on research into the general auditorium body shape. After many rounds of prototyping, the Advanced Auditorium body features a slightly wider waist, shifted slightly toward the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape delivers richer low mids and a better balance between body and weight, which is often lacking in conventional auditorium guitars.

X-M Bracing of the AAM Series

After more than two years of trial and error, research, and prototyping, Ibanez developed the proprietary X-M Bracing specifically for Advanced Auditorium guitars to produce the ultimate sound for stage and studio. The carefully designed scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and finger braces efficiently transfer string vibrations from the bridge to the body. These braces provide a wide dynamic range and excellent response. The mids are slightly scooped for better tonal balance, and the highs have the clarity of steel strings while retaining the warmth of nylon strings.
