This true analog distortion not only sounds better but also frees up the amp’s processing power for effects, allowing the VYPYR X to run up to 5 effects simultaneously. When playing live, nothing beats a VYPYR that cuts through. Many modeling amps are simply inaudible in live situations due to poor digital distortion and weak EQ. TransTube technology was developed analog to emulate real tubes and blends perfectly into the mix in a live environment.

WYSIWYG Interface

Another Peavey original, the WYSIWYG interface (what you see is what you get) lets users instantly recognize knob positions on the amp. When a modeling amp changes presets, the knob settings also change; however, on most amps, the knob position no longer matches the actual setting. This can cause confusion and mistakes leading to accidental, unwanted results. On the VYPYR, LEDs around the knob always indicate its position relative to the current preset. Simply a better solution.
