Line6 Spider V 20 MKII Guitar Amplifier

The price-performance ratio of the guitar amplifier is more than good. I will definitely recommend it to others.

It is perhaps still a little too early to give a definitive assessment, as I have not yet been able to fully explore the possibilities offered by the device and its associated software and I cannot yet judge its durability.

So far, I can confirm that the amplifier is indeed very low-noise. Its presets bring me, who previously worked with a 45-year-old amplifier, up to date with all possible electric guitar sounds. Compared to my old amplifier, the tones are sustained longer here and buzzing noises are suppressed to a greater extent. The control range for filtering ("Tones") and "Reverb" is greater than on the old model. However, the changes at the "Tone" control (sound change per scale unit) are also somewhat more brusque than usual.

I was completely convinced of the good sense of my new purchase when I was able to use (FX) changes to the "CLEAN" channel to produce approximately the same timbre as the old amplifier and use this achievement to replace certain chords in my music recordings that previously had unwanted vibrations.

So you don't have to worry that you have "turned me on" to some unwanted object. I honestly have the impression that the "Line 6 Spider V20" will serve me well in the future.

The instructions for use could perhaps be written a little more clearly. This applies above all to the description of the "Gain" and "Volume" controls! For example, what should the "roast content" of a sound be? By trying it out, you soon find out that the first control has to do with the medium sound spectrum, and that the "Volume" control can be used to influence the hardness of the attack noise. However, the weaknesses of the "manual" have nothing to do with the good quality of the amplifier itself.

I wanted another AMP with FX sounds.
For a long time I thought about getting the Marshall Code 25...
The Line6 is amazingly good and also a little cheaper.
Very good pre-installed settings and with computer or app via USB virtually unlimited extensions possible!
For my (private) purposes perfectly fine.
Wers louder needs can yes also reach for the more powerful variants.

First of all, fast and smooth delivery - that's how it should be! To the Line6 Spider V is to say that he is a great modeling amplifier for home. He has great sounds on board and can be adjusted cleanly. In addition, he has a USB port where you can use the spider V app from Line 6 on his smartphone which I also like for the fact that it is free. Also you can record directly via the USB port which I think is great for beginners to record their first successes which I find very motivating. All in all I can recommend the Spider V 20 Watt to anyone who wants to have a good amp with many possibilities at a good and affordable price.
