What’s So Bad About Neon Tubes?
Fluorescent tubes, commonly known as neon tubes, are found almost everywhere in our daily environment such as offices, warehouses, workshops, etc. Naturally, they offer advantages over common incandescent bulbs. However, there are also drawbacks, such as high electricity costs and long warm-up times until the desired light output is reached.
Additionally, they contain environmentally harmful gases and mercury, making disposal complicated. Regular replacement intervals also lead to further maintenance costs.

This means that devices with an energy efficiency class "F" are comparable to the old class "A+". Of course, the power consumption of the devices has not increased as a result.
